Colchester Home Show 2016
Thank you to all who exhibited in and attended the Colchester County Home Show!
The home show is a great event for our team – it’s very community-focused and people love to come back year after year. With booth space selling out every year, it’s a strong show for sales and exhibitors have lots of success developing leads and connecting with potential new customers.
Despite some uncooperative weather which saw traffic slightly down on Sunday, overall attendance was roughly on par with previous years. Exhibitors and visitors had positive comments on the show and the value of connecting face-to-face.
“For our part, the Colchester County Home Show is THE spot to exhibit in Central Nova Scotia. We can speak not only to customers who are planning to build or renovate but also the building professionals and provide information on our services,” said Barry Walker, Efficiency Nova Scotia. “This year’s show had one of the busiest Saturdays and the traffic to our booth was the best that we have seen. The overall venue at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre is fantastic and Scott organizes this show with both the consumer and the exhibitor in mind.”
“Once again we experienced a very successful Home Show in Colchester County,” said Doug MacInnis, Wilsons Home Heating. “The amazing thing this year was even after waking up to several centimeters of snow on Sunday morning, the attendance was still strong on Sunday afternoon. It just goes to show how supportive the residents of Colchester are not only to the Home Show but also the local businesses which participate in it.”
“Thanks to the organizers of the Colchester County Home Show for another great event,” said Pam Murray, Invisible Fence Brand. “This was our fifth year at the show. This year, we noticed the attendees seemed to be at the show for a reason – there were more people looking for ideas and feedback from the professionals at each booth. We had some great face-to-face conversations with people… a good first step in building relationships that may turn into future business. We hope everyone else at the show had an equally good weekend!”
"We have partnered with Master Promotions for over 10 years as exhibitors at the Colchester County Home Show. As always, Scott and Moira and their team work hard to create an excellent event. They go above and beyond not only the weekend of the home show but with promotions leading up to it. We look forward to next year,” said Joanne Bouley, Re/MAX Fairlane Realty.
“All in all, it was a successful show. Traffic was relatively good, although maybe down a bit on Sunday,” said Diane McMasters, Vintage Stove & Fireplace Ltd. “We definitely generated some sales and met with lots of existing customers face-to-face. One of the things I appreciate most is that the majority of exhibitors are local and higher end, and also that even though this is a smaller show, the team at Master Promotions keeps doing it every year.”
This year’s show featured lots of new products, show specials and door prizes that helped generate interest in the show before the doors even opened. Thanks to Cat Country for helping promote the show with their ‘Spin to Win’ promotion. Congratulations to Arnold Hagen of Truro who won the ‘Spin to Win’ promo and received a $250 gift card to Harris Home Hardware.
