International Potato Technology Expo 2012

Celebrating Two Decades of Bringing Business and Industry Together

The International Potato Technology Expo returns to the Charlottetown Civic Centre February 24-25, 2012. This popular event has been running in Charlottetown every two years since 1992.

For two decades, the International Potato Technology Expo has been bringing potato growers, from across the Maritimes and beyond, together with the leading equipment manufacturers and product solutions that potato farmers depend on and trust.

The Charlottetown Civic Centre will be transformed into a Mecca for those in the potato industry and will encompass everything from seed to soil to growing to harvesting.

Syngenta is one of the world's leading companies with more than 26,000 employees in over 90 countries dedicated to our purpose: Bringing plant potential to life. Through world-class science, global reach and commitment to our customers we help to increase crop productivity, protect the environment and improve health and quality of life.

We are an agribusiness committed to sustainable agriculture - farming with future generations in mind. This means providing quality seeds and crop protection solutions as well as working with farmers to conserve our rural landscape.

Since the formation of Syngenta in 2000, we have been supporting environmental stewardship projects throughout Canada. One example is the Maritimes Small Marsh Restoration Program with Ducks Unlimited Canada and Maritime farmers. The Program restores or enhances small marshes for waterfowl habitat and implements wetland conservation best-management practices on farms. This program allows farmers in the Maritime provinces to take pride in restoring lost natural areas, and in turn, demonstrates that farmers are leaders in environmentally sustainable, safe and innovative food production. Since 2004, the program has supported 255 projects which has restored 780 acres.

We look forward to meeting with you at our booth to discuss how Syngenta can protect your potatoes from seed to storage.
