Miramichi Home Show 2012

New Look at the Miramichi Home Show a Hit with Visitors and Exhibitors Alike

This year’s show was certainly exciting, with an all-new look to the show featuring new home products, a new feature with the SPCA contest, as well as the City of Miramichi/Northumberland Wellness Network feature, which encompassed the entire second floor in the Miramichi Civic Center.

Attendance was up from last year & exhibitors experienced higher than expected sales, appointments, leads and generally overall the show was a resounding success.

At center stage, Sobey’s featured Chef Graham Tricket with Sobey’s Dietitian Margaret Young. They delivered three performances on Saturday at 11, 2 & 4 o’clock. With standing room only at the stage area, Margaret & Chef Tricket delighted the crowd with some of the healthiest & best tasting food you will find on the Miramichi.

The SPCA Pet lookalike contest was a great promotion that supported a great cause. Thank you to the 99-3 the River for orchestrating this. $1207.34 was raised for the Greater Miramichi SPCA! The SPCA also had 4 adoptions at the show! There were 40 entries in the Pet/Owner Look Alike Contest, the winner was Avery Scott. Congratulations to all of our entries and thank you to the numerous prize providers.

Congratulations to Jim Morrison, he walked away with a new infrared heater from Aerus and Betty Savage who won prizes from Maritime Travel.
