North Atlantic Fish & Workboat Show
The North Atlantic Fish & Workboat Show Sails Out a Winner!
For Immediate Release
St.John’s, NL – The producer of the North Atlantic Fish & Workboat Show, Master Promotions Ltd., is pleased to announce that the 2010 edition was a huge success!
Show management is happy to report that attendance numbers were up from the previous edition and retail on the floor was brisk, with exhibitors walking away with many sales and solid leads to follow up on for the upcoming season and beyond.
Exhibitors and attendees alike were pleased with the 2-day event. Over 100 exhibitors displayed the newest and most innovative commercial fisheries products and services, which intrigued visitors and helped with decision-making about new, efficient product purchases.
“The show was fantastic for eSonar. It was very well attended and throughout the event we issued more than a dozen quotes ranging from sensor replacements to complete eSonar systems,” explained Don Vokey, Marketing Director of eSonar Inc. “Since that time we have successfully closed more than half of these quotes and the phone continues to ring,” said Vokey.
The second Biennial Industry Achievement awards were also handed out during the opening night reception. The winners were individuals who have contributed to the betterment of the industry, be it through volunteering or other outstanding contributions to their community and to the fishing industry.
The winners of the 2010 award are as follows:
Don Best of Fogo
Gerald Chidley of Renews
Jack Troake of Twillingate
Again, we would like to congratulate these leaders of the industry. We look forward to receiving nominations for the 2012 awards and will soon announce the dates for the return of this event.
We are now looking towards the horizon and a positive future for this industry. Excitement is ramping up for the next event in our fish and workboat marine portfolio, the Eastern Canadian Fisheries Exposition that is being held in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on February 25-26, 2011 at the Mariners Centre.
