Nova Scotia Hunting & Outdoor Show 2014
Truro, NS – The Nova Scotia Hunting & Outdoor Show had another great edition this past weekend, September 5-7, 2014 at the RECC in Truro. This was the show’s second year and once again had steady traffic all weekend long.
“Hunting enthusiasts came to buy with plenty of firearms and hunting gear sold,” said Show Manager Scott Sprague. “Visitors to the show enjoyed the retrieving and pointing demos courtesy of Pageska’s Griffon Town Kennel and Doindogs Kennel. As well, the Traditional Archers were busy all weekend teaching how to shoot a traditional bow.”
Exhibitors were pleased to have the opportunity to educate, inform, talk to and sell to the visitor base of existing and potential customers and outdoor enthusiasts who attended the show.
“Thanks to Master Promotions for another great and well-organized show,” said Terry Smith with the Canadian Wild Turkey Federation (CWTF). “The weather was sunny and warm but the CWTF was talking turkey all three days… we had people come to the show from NB as well as Sydney, NS and even some hunters from Minnesota who dropped in on their way to Newfoundland to hunt moose. We’re already looking forward to next year, when the CWTF will help with calling and wild turkey hunting seminars and youth hunting seminars during the show.”
“Our company is relatively new to the hunting and fishing industry and this show has been a great way to grow our customer base,” said Bob Martell with Young Guns. “Another great show by Master Promotions!”
“We really appreciate the opportunity to get in front of so many of the hunters and anglers that our organization represents,” said Tony Rodgers with the Federation of Anglers and Hunters. “We were able to talk to people, answer questions on firearm legislation and discuss some of the hunting and angling issues faced in our region.”
Congratulations to the winners of our hunting door prizes: Darlene Carver, Greg Willmore, Jennifer McGuire, Andrea Wambolt, and Brennen Turple.
Thanks to our official truck sponsor, Hollis Ford, as well as our media sponsors Cat Country 99.5 FM and Big Dog 100.9 FM. We also appreciate the ongoing support from the NS Federation of Anglers and Hunters, the Canadian Wild Turkey Federation and the Big Game Society of NS.
We now look forward to the third edition of the Nova Scotia Hunting & Outdoor Show, which will take place next September.
