PEI Provincial Home Show 2016
Thank you to our exhibitors and all who were involved with the 2016 PEI Provincial Home Show and the all-new PEI On The Move, along with all the Islanders who were in attendance.
This duo of events took over the Eastlink Centre March 11th to 13th, 2016 and was a resounding success! The weather was fantastic, attendance was up roughly 25% over 2015 numbers, and people came to do business!
Exhibitors were ecstatic with the results and have commented that this was the best show in PEI for many years.
“Overall the show was fun – people were looking and asking questions,” said Barbi Sear, Quartermaster Marine. “For us, it was more of a product knowledge show; we found lots of people interested. The guys flying the airplanes were awesome, and they would fly them right over the boats, so that was great!”
“We’ve been exhibitors at the PEI Provincial Home show for as long as I can remember, at least going back 20 years,” said Shirley Griffin, G.W.G. Flooring. “It has always been, and always will be our main priority for budgeting advertising. I believe it is the one place you can reach your target market, new home owners/buyers looking to renovate or build their dream home.”
“We know after the weekend spent at the home show we have talked to thousands of people and passed out hundreds of brochures/magazines which in turn bring us business year round,” she added. “This year’s show went above all of our expectations. The weather was perfect, the attendance was much higher than last year and the amazing staff was able to make the show enjoyable and organized well! We will be returning next year and many more years after that!”
The word from the general public was just as positive. Feedback on the addition of PEI On The Move was very strong. Likewise, people seemed to enjoy the seminar series, touring the PEI Home & RV Centre cottage, and checking out the interactive activities from Bricks4Kidz, the UPEI Fab Lab Atlantic, and the Engineers PEI Robotics Club.
Congratulations to the winner of our door prizes:
- George Brookins, winner of a $1,500 gift card from Island Grown Sod
- Linda Cain, winner of a boat safety kit from Quartermaster Marine
- Rob Phillips, winner of a Princess Auto prize package
