TRUXPO 2012 Rolls out a Winner!
For Immediate Release
Abbotsford, B.C. – The producers of TRUXPO, Western Canada’s largest trucking and logistics show, are pleased to announce that the 2012 event was a success.
Nearly 8500 registered visitors attended the event, which encompassed the Tradex complex inside and out, and they were not left disappointed.
Nearly 200 exhibitors from all over North America, including OEM’s, national and local representation showcased their latest products to excited visitors.
The biennial event kicked off Thursday afternoon with the ‘Premier Showing’, as a beautiful sunny and warm evening greeted invited guests for the opening of the 2012 edition.
Guests were treated to a wide assortment of hors d'oeuvres and a roast suckling pig BBQ as they browsed the nearly 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits which encompassed everything the industry suppliers have to offer.
The newly incorporated educational component was well attended with visitors attending several different seminars including, How to prepare a truck (all classes) for a DOT roadside inspection, presented by the Canadian Association of Fleet Supervisors, Saving Fuel and reducing the carbon footprint of your fleet, presented by E3 Fleet and Fortis presented Natural Gas for Fleets, just to name a few.
The new Medium Duty/Private Fleet feature which placed more emphasis on lighter class vehicles with exhibits and education was well received and solidified TRUXPO as an all encompassing event for any sort of work truck in this thriving industry.
The ‘Recruiting Here’ feature was a resounding success. Initially, 15 companies were participating but several more came during the show looking for signage to promote the fact that they too were on the hunt for new talent; this was an ideal venue for doing it.
The outdoor exhibit area grew significantly this year and the Ride & Drive program was very busy, and many visitors took advantage of the Big Rig free parking that was available.
Show management would like to thank the BC Pioneer Truck Society and SWAT Machines for the impressive display of antique trucks. We would also like to thank Jamie Davis for stopping by Tradex with his ‘Highway Thru Hell’ display as seen on the Discovery Channel.
Show management would like to thank the following sponsors for their support of TRUXPO; E3 Fleet, Canadian Association of Fleet Supervisors, Husky, Wajax Equipment, Michelin, Fort Garry Industries and Smart Truck Canada.
A special word of thanks to the British Columbia Trucking Association for their continued support and guidance with TRUXPO and we look forward to 2014.
