Aquaculture Pacific Exchange
The 2008 edition of the Aquaculture Pacific Exchange (APE) held at Strathcona Gardens in Campbell River, British Columbia, on September 25-26, 2008, brought together many stakeholders from all facets of the world’s aquaculture industry.
Seminar attendees were pleased with the thought provoking and relevant topics that were a part of the conference, which was themed “ Partnering for Our Future”. Several renowned speakers took to the stage to deliver their thoughts and insights on this thriving industry.
The tradeshow floor highlighted exhibitors showcasing the latest technology and services available to the industry.
APE offered an untapped opportunity for companies in the sector to connect with people not currently working in the aquaculture industry. They were provided with information about the rewarding careers available in the industry as part of the job fair component, which was a first for this event.
The Annual Syndel Run Walk Stagger Event was well attended with a number of prizes being handed out to participants, thus proving that a “healthy industry” requires a healthy employee!
As Master Promotions Ltd. looks toward the future, they will review feedback from APE 2008 and determine the potential for a 2010 Aquaculture event.
