According to Canada Mortgage and Housing’s latest outlook, housing starts are scheduled to rise in 2010!

“The housing sector is expected to show positive growth in 2010, as consumers continue to take advantage of the favorable interest rate environment and a recovery begins to take hold, due in part to additional fiscal and monetary stimulus,”

WELCOME BACK Niki Jabbour-Host of the Weekend Gardener

Niki is a graduate of Dalhousie University and the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and has spent the last 13 years working as a garden writer for newspapers and magazines across North America. She is a frequent contributor to Canadian Gardening, Gardens East, The Heirloom Gardener, as well as assorted local publications.

Niki is also the host of 'The Weekend Gardener', a call in radio show that airs across the Maritimes on News 95.7 FM, News 91.9 FM and News 89.9 FM. The show runs from May through October every Sunday from 11 to 1 pm. Currently, Niki is working on her first book, which will be published in 2011. She also blogs her gardening adventures (and misadventures!) at http://yearroundveggiegardener.blogspot.com.

The Simmons Mattress Gallery Booth will be hosting a draw for pairs of tickets to the Neptune Dinner Theatre and on Saturday night the performers from the theatre will do a mini-performance right at the show!

KOOL FM Presents U.F.O. “Unidentified Fridge Object!”

Each morning Griff and Caroline will go into the Fridge and identify the daily object in the fridge. The listener who identifies the UFO will win tickets to the Ideal Home Show and will qualify to join Griff and Caroline live from the Kool Kitchen. The 5 qualifying listeners will each get to choose one cupboard. One cupboard will have a winning “Can of Food” in it. The winner will receive a $7,000 kitchen reface.

This facet of the show is a visual, interactive, lush paradise for gardeners and landscapers alike and shows the best that the industry has to offer.

The Atlantic Superstore Supports Home Show Promotion for Military and Seniors

Saint John, NB – Master Promotions Ltd is pleased to announce that the Atlantic Superstore has graciously offered to join us in our swag bag promotion this year for several of our home shows.

The Superstore has provided the handy reusable shopping bags that will be used for our seniors swag promotion for the Atlantic National Home Show and the PEI Provincial Home Show. They have also come onboard to support our forces by providing the reusable bags for our military swag bags at our Fredericton Home Show, the Joie de Vivre Show in Moncton and the Spring Ideal Home Show in Halifax.

“On behalf of Master Promotions Ltd, we would like to thank the representatives of the Atlantic Superstore for assisting with these promotions and helping the environment at the same time,” says Marketing and Operations Manager Catherine Macnutt.
